Today is what would have been Eddie’s 36th birthday. Giving, friendly, fun, goofball are just a few words to describe him. He was larger than life making people laugh and smile. Always selfless and would do anything to help others. He would give the shirt off of his back to someone in need, no questions asked. He had a genuine soul and radiated happiness. It was very contagious. Unfortunately, he was taken too soon from us when he deployed to Afghanistan in 2010. This children’s book has been a labor of love for us and we knew for a long time we wanted him to be the role model for children and teach them that being a true hero comes from the heart. We want his memory to live on and continue to touch as many people as possible. We hope to represent Eddie as the amazing man he was and to continue spreading his infectious smile and positivity to everyone who reads.
We have a tradition of paying it forward and showing extra acts of kindness on Eddie’s birthday in his honor. We encourage you to join in. No act is ever too small!
