We had another amazing turnout for the 9th annual SGT Edward Bolen memorial golf tournament, raising $8,000. Thank you Casolwood golf course and to all of the incredible people who put in the time and hard work to make this happen. The proceeds will provide scholarships to 2 high school graduates from Chittenango High School as well as Clear Path for Veterans organization. Several of Eddie’s Army buddies traveled from all over the US just to be there. As I looked around to all those who attended, I noticed the smiles, the laughter and the pure joy of everyone involved. Even after all these years, the love for Eddie is still strong. He continues to bring people together whose paths would have never crossed otherwise. To my military friends, new and old, thank you for keeping his memory alive, for all the hilarious stories, your friendship and for your service. I know Eddie was smiling that great big smile this weekend. I’m excited for next year!
